What the work is
The projects are clubs that keep trading through the works, schools programmed around the term, aged care with residents in place, and industrial and retail premises with a tenant's opening date. Values run up to $30M. Many are staged around a building that stays in use, and every one is handed over ready for the client to run.
The company runs from one office in Coorparoo and a network of more than 7,000 subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and operators built over fifty years. The office and the site are the same team. The people who price a job are the people who run it.
A project manager here owns the programme, the subcontractor packages, the client relationship and the handover. A site manager or foreman owns the site: staging, safety, the trades and the daily call on what closes and what stays open. Both carry the job from tender to handover.
